John Wedgwood Clarke was commended in the National Poetry Competition 2010. He set up and for ten years ran the Beverley Literature and Bridlington Poetry Festivals, before leaving to pursue a full-time career in writing and editing, as well as teaching Creative Writing at the University of Hull. His debut pamphlet Sea Swim was published in 2012 and his first full-length collection, Ghost Pot, in 2013 (both Valley Press). His latest collection is In Between: Poems from the Snickets of York (Valley Press, 2014).
