Jennifer Hyde came third in a school poetry contest at age nine, and has secretly written poems ever since. She studied languages and literature at the University of Oxford, before working as an actor in Colombia for six years, where she saved her parents from drowning in the sea. This event provided her with the opportunity to write a poem about something other than boys. She is currently writing a collection of poems and three screenplays, most of which are about boys. She resentfully lives in her hometown of Croydon.
