Isabella Mead lives in Buckinghamshire with Ama the cat. She holds a Master’s in History of Art and is currently studying for a degree in French, Italian and Spanish. A former secondary English teacher in East London, she worked for two years as a teacher trainer in a rural Rwandan village before working as Head of Learning at The Story Museum in Oxford. Her poetry has appeared in Poetry News’ Members’ poems pages, Magma and Envoi. She has been Highly Commended in the Bridport Prize (2016), the Café Writers’ Prize (2019) and the Mslexia Poetry Pamphlet Competition (2017) and longlisted in the National Poetry Competition (2017).
