Sarah Barr

Sarah Barr lives in Dorset and has recently set up a new Poetry Society Stanza group in Wimborne which she hopes local poets will enjoy coming to. She writes poetry and fiction for adults and children and her work has been published in various magazines and anthologies, including the Bripdort Prize anthologies 2010 and 2016; The Templar Anthology 2016; The Interpreter’s House; The Frogmore Papers; Meniscus; the Caterpillar; South. She often writes about relationships, the natural world, loss and hope. She is putting together a collection of short stories and writing a sequel to her first (as yet unpublished) novel. She teaches creative writing and loves giving readings and running writing groups and workshops. Her poem, ‘January’, won the Frogmore Poetry Prize 2015.
