Marilyn Longstaff

Marilyn Longstaff lives in Darlington and is a member of Vane Women, a writing performing and publishing collective (www.vanewomen.co.uk). In 2003 she received a Northern Promise Award, and in 2005 completed her MA in Creative Writing at Newcastle University. In 2011 she was one of the three featured poets in New Writing North’s Read Regional campaign. She is the author of four poetry collections: Puritan Games (2001), Sitting Among the Hoppers (2004) and Raiment (2010). Her latest, Articles of War, was published by Smokestack in February 2017. Her poems have also been widely published in magazines and anthologies.
