Julian May

Julian May was born in 1955 in Plymouth and grew up in Cornwall. He has published short stories, radio plays and a poetry collection – The Earliest Memory (1987) – and has worked as a BBC radio producer for 25 years. He was responsible for Radio 4’s contribution to National Poetry Day for many years, a founder-producer of Radio 3’s The Verb, and winner of a Sony Award for A Requiem for St Kilda. He has commissioned and collaborated creatively with many poets and artists to produce documentaries, arts programmes and ‘radio poems’.
