Emily Berry grew up in London and studied English Literature at Leeds University and Creative Writing at Goldsmiths College. Her debut poetry collection Dear Boy (Faber) won the Forward Prize for Best First Collection and the Hawthornden Prize. She was named among the Next Generation Poets 2014. She is currently working towards a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at the University of East Anglia. In 2016 she was the guest co-Editor of The Poetry Review, working with Maurice Riordan on the summer issue 106:2.
