Andy Jackson is originally from Manchester but moved to Fife in 1992. He started writing poetry as a serious concern in 2003, and his first collection The Assassination Museum was published in March 2010 by Red Squirrel Press. His poems have appeared in Poetry News, Magma, Blackbox Manifold, Trespass and New Writing Scotland, among other publications. He was winner of the National Galleries of Scotland competition in 2008 and the inaugural Baker Prize in 2012. He was editor of Split Screen: poetry inspired by film & television, published in 2012, also by Red Squirrel, and their follow-up anthology, Double Bill.
